Covid 19 Update 1st July 2020

COVID-19 – Update
LET’S STAY SAFE!
RE-STATEMENT OF OFC POLICY ON CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)
We are committed to safeguarding the health and wellbeing of our players, families and officials at all
times. We understand the importance of communicating openly with all during these times of
uncertainty to create assurance that the right procedures are in place to ensure the safe continuation of
activities where possible. Our aim is to ensure that the spread of the virus is minimised and ask
everyone to support this.
Return to Training
FA guidance is that junior football can return to training in small groups of 6 (including coach). We
have now finalised new Parent, Player Guidance docs, Risk Assessment & a Parent Disclaimer so you
can trust we are taking our responsibilities to safeguard everyone concerned incredibly seriously.
There will be a one way system with parents parking and accessing via the gate onto Outwoods PS
field (the gate in between the 2 schools) and exiting via the gate onto Outwoods PS playground. The
training itself will be on Outwoods PS field only with the adjacent path being chalked/marked out for
spectators.
I'd like to further reassure you that nothing will happen on mass until every detail has been tried and
tested. We will initially pilot with just one team on Friday 10th July. The next week we will continue
with the same team but now invite all Coaches to view the setup, running and exit procedures and
provide ongoing guidance and training for them. Our plan is to then add teams in one's and two's per
week with Committee members on hand for the full duration to monitor.
If at any time we are not happy we will cancel/suspend training without hesitation!

How to avoid catching or spreading coronavirus
• wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds
• always wash your hands when you get home, into work and before & after training sessions
• use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
• cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or
sneeze
• put used tissues in the bin straight away and wash your hands afterwards
• players to wear gloves if possible
• no hand shaking/contact
• don’t share food, sweets or drink bottles
• if you do not wish your child to attend for any reason this will NOT impact on matchday
selection when leagues return
• anyone unwell should not attend
• Ask grandparents etc not to attend
• do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean

As part of our ongoing responsibility we will continue to watch carefully for new developments as the situation
unfolds and adapt our advice/policies accordingly.
